engineering or accountancy?

OH WELL
there goes again..im reconsidering all my my so called "decisions" all over again
haha
ENGINEERING OR ACCOUNTANCY??`

lol should i apply for national university of singapore...
when im not even sure am i really into engineering?
when i did not take any SAT test?
when the application fee of it is over rm800?lol

or should i stick with my old,not so ambitious plan of staying in sunway and take up acca....since so many ppl are telling me ACCA is a good, cost effective course...with wide job prospect..internationally recognized..plus the world is lack of accountants bla bla
hey bt then if i take accountancy in sunway(again)..i will lose the the so called uni-life?

yea i know..i should follow my instinct..my interest...but hey..i think im perfectly okay with both engineering n accountancy lo..(though they are 2 totally different fields)

lol datz y i do envy those hu know what exactly their strong points are..though they might screw up all the other subjects..they soar in the field they belong to
while i continue wonder in the wonderland of alice...haha

art?im ok...bt nt outstanding
math?ok bt nt outstanding
sc?ok bt nt outstanding
speech?ok bt nt outstanding
accounts?ok ok also

yea many suggested that i portray myself as a teacher?lol oh well i have thought of it..perhaps i would choose 2 be a lecturer one fine day
...bt still..2 become a lecturer I WOULD STILL HAVE 2 CHOOSE A FIELD to pursue right?
haha so it all goes back to the very same question...engineering or accountancy??

SOS..DO GIVE ME SOME ADVICE YEA?DEAR FRIEND HEE

ps/ actually i do have this secret ultimate dream hee......after earning enough money..with those money i establish a kindergarten..meeting innocent kids each day...dealing with anxious parents...helping those vulnerable kids...free from the selfish money-grubbing world..gaining merits...so stress-free..happy :)
lol...okok..hopefully i dun sound 2 silly here..ppl used 2 laugh whenever i bring this up..

hey, establishing kindergarten means business rite?perhaps this indicates that i should choose ACCOUNTANCY?hahaha
hey who here knows anything bout accountants?so...bright future?

SIGH..Y IS CHOOSING A CAREER SUCH A HASSLE TO ME...SOS FRIENDS?ADVICE?

You certainly have all your brain wires all mingled up together. It is a difficult decision to make and it is really wise of you had seriosly gave some thoughts about it. I certainly can't help you to decide but I can give you some advice.
1. Which one do you want more?
There must be one that you prefer more.
2. You might be thinking "oo, this degree would give you more options and etc " but to be honest, nobody know what happens in the future, so stick with one that you like more.
3. University life whether it is out station or oversea certainly would give you a better outlook about life as you are away form home, in your zone of independence. But, i think, this is still not the main point that you should be considering because at the end of the day, you still have to choose one you prefer more.

Parents might tell you to analyse all the advantages of each career but it would only make you more confusing(trust me). In my opinion, ignore the research for a moment and think of an element like art or maths which you are confident that you would want to experience it and work with it your entire lfe. Then , make a decision on which career which comprises the most essential aspect which you sure you want.To me, creativity and designing is the key, that's why I opt for architecture as there is a bit of both arts and physics in which I also like. I wish you all the best in making decisions and sorry, for the lengthy comment.Hope it does help.

aiya...y not take both? get a double degree which is a degree in engineering and accounting? got more option wert~ i think there's one university that offers both..i think oni lar..dono see from where..then hor,if you feel like taking engineering, then you muz have an interest for math first and physics as well, well, depends on what type of engineering that you're interested in in the first place...every branch of engineering is different you know..suck as E&E and mechanical..while the one i'm interested in is aerospace engineering because it's a combination of mechanical, electronic, computer and robotics engineering..cool eh??
but hor,if you choose to take accounting, then, what's the point of taking a levels in the first place?then hor, once you turn accountant, then, you've got to slave for a few years and only see numbers all throughout your life..if thats the life ou want..go ahead...

I say, since you are not sure now, why don't u just apply, don't miss out on anything.

Then, when the time comes, the offer comes, u shud be clear d?

actually, uni-life is one thing, but most importantly, it's the career that u will be leading eventually.

hehe. no worries. u will figure it out.

Many comments... all of them are interesting views but yvonne's makes sense. It's too early to decide now, and it sounds like you don't have enough support to make a decision. I have friends in both fields and they are doing fine, I mean they make enough money to cover their weekend night out and yearly vacation. So I can't really suggest one field is better than the other. In fact several of them made a decision to go into different field after/while obtaining the degree, for example, going from English Literature and History major to Computer Science programming and there is one going from CS programmer into real estate and financing agent.
Having solid foundation in math or physic will make your life easier when pursuing an engineering degree but I don’t think strong math skill is a must-have - passion is more important. Math will speed up learning but solving problem does take time. Of course, math will help you pursuit accounting degree as well. There are branches in accounting. Financial planning and risk management are good example and they too require some ‘engineering’ effort because you need to do some ‘calculation and planning’ (takes time too.)
So… whatever you pick is a good choice. The only thing I would really recommend is the university life. You must experience that and finish it. You will get to meet people from different places and background. You will be spiritually touched by their thoughts. Then, perhaps by that time, you can choose what you want to do with next 10 years of your life and only the next ten years, coz you do expect to live to 100 right?
