she did it... :( or :)

She was really determined all this while....taking the initiative to buy those Singapore books and asking us to teach her form1 form2 math...we asked her to just give it a try...at least the experience will be helpful...but who knows..she passed the exams...passed the interview...and now...she GOT THE SCHOLARSHIP!

she was accepted to CHIJ St Nicholas Girl School,Singapore..
4 years of Olevels....2 years of Alevels...all tuition fee/hostel fee/food...waived...
with the allowance of 2oo Singapore dollar per month.....

but is she too young to leave?will she do alright?12 years old?

I asked my dad how he felt...upon uttering his first word...he choked with sobs....
and then he managed to blubber out a few words,"我当然不舍得。。妈妈又不在了。。"
and then i teared a little too........................
dad and my youngest sis....really close i can say..she wishes him good night before she goes to bed every day...
how very true..i really cant imagine living here in my room for the years to come..without her laughter filling the air~

Aunty may even said something really scary..."Aiyor..if meng meng(her nick name..) leave....i also go back to Philippine lo...what can i do here..."
wow...really hope she doesn't mean it。。。。。

sob...... :(

Meng Hui on the other hand... is over the moon...she cant wait to go...it is 1 of her dream...( i read it from her autograph..梦想:去新加坡读书)she somehow said that shez sick of the sien environment here....12 years old..and such determinations?she is such a brave young girl...even the judges told my dad she did an impressive job..

to go or not to go?to be decided by tonight...
理智说:去吧!前途无量。。
感性说:别走。。。家庭/我们更重要!

is there really a NEED to leave so early?this is one of the major decision of you and also of us.........
anw catholic high school pj also not bad ma right?

chs+us
or
singapore+future?

sigh...
meng meng..dont leave....

Congrats:)...I still remember her as the cute cute "Xiao mei mei" Wanting the moon cake box I lend to you.. Haha.Time flies, man... Well, this might be tough , but if that's their dream.. the only thing us siblings can do, is to provide them the support and strength they need and let them spread their wings. It's always hard to say goodbye..:( But, I still rmb that you once told me before the ahli nujum said that one of the 3 of you will become a doctor..maybe she is the one? Don't worry, now you have all the high tech stuff such as webcam...You guys will still keep in contact...
I hope this brave little girl here will be able to accomplish her dreams. :)
And you , Shuen shuen must have the courage to let her go and support her through thick and thin..(Walau! veli harsh man!):)

Lol there was an ahli nujum involved??

But yeah, do what's best for her. She seems determined I think she'd value this opportunity a lot! At such tender age, she's really brave.

And true, keep in close contact, things would inevitably change, mostly for the better. she'll be more matured and toughen up living without her family there. it might even strengthen your relationship through the distance.
